I have spent the last couple of weeks on an excessive amount of research on Brigantia, Brighid, Bride, etc. under her many names. I haven't decided if these are distinct deities or many names for the same deity. I say excessive because I reached the point Labor Day weekend that I am a bit tired of it and need to do something else for a while. I have four books still checked out on Imbolc, the Morrigan, Gwyn Ap Nud, and Pagan Britain. They aren't due for two more weeks and aren't likely to have anyone waiting on the hold, so I will hang on to them for now. In the meantime, I am trying to learn about zines. I purchased two mini zines from a local author on activism and spells to do with zines. The library system I work for has a circulating zine collection, so I requested four and will give those a read this week. Hopefully, the break will let me refocus on my druidry research, or at least the Pagan Britain history book.
Made an offering of local whole milk to Brigantia yesterday when I opened a new bottle (I needed some milk for my coffee). The little remaining stub of my candle refused to light at first but did eventually. I don't really meditate on my offering or take any omens, but I don't get any sense that the milk is unwanted, unlike the incense I tried last month.
